Welcome to Riviera Recovery

We Are Pet Friendly.

Home » About

We’re a sober living and mental health transitional living community helping young adults achieve self-actualization in a structured, sober environment.

At Riviera Recovery, we believe that wellness stems not just from correcting old behaviors, but from creating new and healthy lifestyle changes. Our sober living facilities are located in the heart of Los Angeles, California around a bustling area of universities, community colleges, employment opportunities and amazing local recovery meetings to help clients gain a strong footing on newfound life skills and apply them in a structured real-world setting.

Sober Living & Mental Health Programs

We provide a recovery community that encourages exploration and experiential learning with an impassioned and experienced staff on hand to guide clients toward a new world of freedom, independence, and possibilities. We believe in empowering clients to pursue new passions that last a lifetime.

Riviera only accepts a small number of clients at a time, which allows our staff to provide individual attention through addiction therapy counseling, activities, and mentoring. With a strong focus on mental health support, the individualized attention that each client receives is insurmountably important to the emphasis our team places on clients that struggle with co-occurring disorders including depression and anxiety. Our small number lends itself to a strong sense of community, often sparking lasting friendships that provide support and recovery long after your time here at our sober living facility in California is over. We encourage our West LA sober living residents to join us for activities such as yoga, surfing, and paddle-boarding. We also recognize the importance of animal companionship which is why we are pet friendly.

The Recovery Compass

The Recovery Compass is the tool that we give to each client when they enter our care. It’s a weekly planner that spans the course of a year. Each week clients sit with their mentor, and plan out the week ahead of them.

The Compass Includes:

  • Weekly schedule pages– Each day is broken down by time slot, and there are areas to write specific “to-dos.”
  • Reflection pages– so clients can look back on what they learned and accomplished.
  • Goal Setting exercises– At the beginning of each compass are pages and worksheets regarding attitude,  exploring what makes you happy, asks you to define your goals, and asks you to assess various areas of your life. The beginning exercises are meant to help our clients get “the big picture” of what they are working towards.
  • Budgeting Worksheets– The Compass also includes monthly budgeting pages, so clients can create a budget, track their spending, and prepare for a life of independence.
